About Indiamarks

What is Indiamarks?

Indiamarks is a website wholly aiming at putting content-oriented articles which reflect the art, culture and the different colorful elements of India. There is a lack of good, relevant and quality information about India on the internet. So indiamarks is working to create a resource of useful guides, experience and tips on anything with an Indian theme.

Wikipedia has managed to get users to create an entire online encyclopedia about practically everything. We at indiamarks believe in the same concept, that if people share their knowledge, expertise and contribute to creating good useful content online….We won’t have to have to search the web and sort through a whole lot of irrelevant sites that show up in our search results, advertisements and spam in order to find what we need. And while there is useful information about a whole lot of stuff about different countries on the internet we found that there is no single resource for quality information on anything and everything India, hence indiamarks!

Why should it interest you?

You should care because indiamarks will educate you about India like no other single resource – it is a collection of experiences and advice from everyone who has lived or been to India. Indiamarks will help you avoid going to 10 pages of irrelevant search results on Google and get to the right information right away.

Do you have what it takes to contribute to indiamarks?

Almost everyone is an expert on something! A housewife may be an expert in the kitchen or have some great decorating tips or how to throw a party, a college student may know the hot spots and hang outs around their college or which is the latest cell phone or gadget to hit the Indian markets…whereas some may have a keen interest in the stock market, business, IT sector, politics or even travel and bollywood.

By contributing to indiamarks you can market this knowledge. Get visibility. Get acknowledged. Meet people with similar interests. Generate traffic to your gig (we’re open to you linking to your site as long as it’s tastefully done, relevant and not blatant spam). And most of all the feel good factor when you see just how many people have read, and benefited from your page.
